Joh Camara
Master Drummer
Sidi Mohamed “Joh” Camara is a master drummer born in Bamako, Mali who has inspired the Express Yourself Drummers since 2007. Joh leads the Express Yourself Drumming Circle, opening local and national conferences as well as corporate events, and has traveled with the group to Washington DC for a Kennedy Center performance.
Joh has toured with his award-winning dance companies Troupe Mande and Troupe Sewa around the Republic of Mali and other West African countries. He teaches dance and drumming classes at Boston University, Brown and Harvard University.
